	RAMS GO OR, NO GO
matt&his_cichlids Fingerling Posts: 43 Kudos: 47 Votes: 2 Registered: 10-Jan-2005	i have a 5ft tank current occupants: 2 rainbow cichlids 6 kribs ( p. pulcher, p. taeniatus ) 1 bristlenose catfish 2 acara (not blue acara. lfs sold them to me as blue kribs) do you believe that some rams would be ok in this tank. and if so which ones. thanks very much

The thing is, they are one of the more peaceful cichlid types, and you've got some more aggressive cichlids in there. For instance, a breeding pair of kribs or blue acaras could easily dismantle a couple of rams. Since you have several pairs of fish, I'm assuming you have or will end up with at least one breeding pair of tough fish. I would not risk the rams. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
