i have a 5ft tank

current occupants:

2 rainbow cichlids
6 kribs ( p. pulcher, p. taeniatus )
1 bristlenose catfish
2 acara (not blue acara. lfs sold them to me as blue kribs)

do you believe that some rams would be ok in this tank. and if so which ones.

thanks very much

Personally, I wouldn't add any rams. The thing is, they are one of the more peaceful cichlid types, and you've got some more aggressive cichlids in there. For instance, a breeding pair of kribs or blue acaras could easily dismantle a couple of rams. Since you have several pairs of fish, I'm assuming you have or will end up with at least one breeding pair of tough fish. I would not risk the rams.

6 kribs allready in the tank which prolly own any and all territory on the bottom. i highly doubt rams will be able to settle into a territory of thier own against kribs. stick witht he kribs you got enough on the bottom

The Kribs will be pretty aggressive when breeding & the Rams are much more peaceful. I wouldn't add any Rams in there.
