I have a fish called a Blackbelt cichlid. That has killed almost every fish i put in his tank. lol. The person at the fish store told me that Red Devil cichlids are very agresssive so i bought the most dominant one in the tank. I redecorated the tank before i Put the RD in but that did not make a difference. The RD now just hide up at the top of the tank in the corner. Is he just adjusting to the tank or is he scared to death????(BTW The Red Devil has been in there for two days now) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How can you expect any help without giving tank size? Also, what are the size of each of the fish? Have you thought about using a divider so the RD can claim alittle territory before he's introduced to the black belt?

Your devil is probly still only a juvinile but dont be misstaken the tide will soon turn. I personaly think black belts are one of the toughest fish out there along with the synspilum. Fish from the veija genus have the strange ability to take a beating and then come back and hand out a floging
