 | Red Devil has dark spots |
wong72 Small Fry Posts: 3 Kudos: 2 Votes: 0 Registered: 27-May-2004   | My red devil is about 4" in a 55gal tank. When I got him 2 months ago, he has a small dark spot on the tip of his top fin. It had then disappeared. After I came back from a 3 days weekend vacation, I found the red devil's body has many dark spots. On his fins, body, even on his mouth. They look like algee, also look like he got himself dirty. He acts fine and normal. Anyone know what happen to him? I know Oscar's body color changes if he is stressed, will Red Devil does the same thing? |

inkodinkomalinko    Fish Guru Posts: 2441 Kudos: 833 Registered: 18-Jan-2003 | Black spot disease, do a 50% water change, and follow up 20% every other day until it goes away. There are meds but usually arent needed. Check your water if it's high in ammonia or nitrites. |
