You could end up with a lot of damage being done! Make sure you allow a lot of hiding places in the tank, and keep a very close eye on things ![]() |

I wouldn't even try in anything smaller than a standard 180 (6' x 2' x 2'). Jason |

I wouldn't keep a red devil with basically anything. Tempermental fish. I've kept one before until it outgrew my tank. Then I gave it to the lfs who in turn sold it to one of my friends with a 300 gal. Good-looking fish, but not my fav. |

Though, i would not take the risk of having a breeding pair of severums with a larger fish in the same tank. Both types of fish would be feuding over territory... I would get the RD, gotta love tank busters ![]() |

Most juvies, but had several adults. Most had to be by themselves or with a mate (M/F). Juvies 6" and under can be kept together. Apparently RDs and severums can mix in an aquarium since we have the lovely hybrid Parrot cichlid which is a cross of the severum and RD. I have only owned one severum that ever even had close of a nasty temperment that could have handled being in with a RD. David |
