Hello All,

I am trying to determine which species of fish I have in my tank. In the store, it was listed as a Flamingo Cichlid with a cautionary warning that it might not mix well with others. On further research, it appears I have a Red Devil. Is this the same species? Also, what are the differences between a Red Terror and a Red Devil?

Note that although this fish is belligerent towards some other cichlids in the tank, it is not as aggressive as I have been warned it should be. But then again, it did eat my frog.

here's]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/truereddevil.xml[/link] a red devil and [link= a red terror. the red terror is female and the males do look different.]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/redterror.xml[/link] a red terror. the red terror in the pic in that profile is my female, and [link=here's a pic of my male. I've never heard of a flamingo cichlid but I'm thinking it might be some type of kamfa flowerhorn. if you can put a pic up on the net somewhere and link to it here, then it'll be a lot easier to help you figure out exactly what type of cichlid you have.

They could interbreed...the question would be if they would.
