I have a chance of getting two female red terrors, but I was wondering what they were like, before i bought them. Any thoughts on them?

personality will vary from fish to fish, but for the most part they are very aggressive but absolutely beautiful. you might be able to keep them in the same tank if it is very large (like a 125) but I woulnd't count on it. you'd probably be better off keeping them in separate tanks right next to each other. the reason I say right next to each other is that you want them to be able to see each other so they think they have competition. this way they'll show their best colors.

females usually grow up to around a foot long and will eat about anything. a balanced diet with both meats (shrimps and krill will help bring out their red colors) and veggies.

and depending on their size you may not have much of a choice when it comes to tank mates.

I once had a male in my 90 a few years ago. I bought him when he was about an inch long and within about 2 years he was approaching a foot!. I had him in with 2 Green Terrors which he grew up with and was fine, but one day I came home to 2 dead GTs so I decided that tank was for him only. He later died because he jumped out of the tank. He actually jumped up and knocked open the feeder lid and fell out. I found him dried up on the floor and it was a bad day. However, in the time that I had him he was an AWESOME fish and also very colorful. If you like big aggressive cichlids than go for it. I don't know about housing them together though. Not sure of the female temeperement but if it's anything like the male you will have a hard time keeping ANYTHING with one.
