OK I originally bought my 29 gallon 3 spring breaks ago...When I bought it the plan was for it to be for my juvenile guppy tank...Well, now I have a 20 regular that I am going to use for my guppies, so the 29 will soon be empty.

With that said, I plan on taking down (okay partly taking down) the 29 (removing gravel, decorations, plants, etc. and try to get rid of some pesty pond snails I managed to inherit a few months ago from the lfs...Once this is said and done (probably next month sometime, as I want to finish the 125 first) I was thinking of getting some young angels-6? (quarter size) and seeing to raising them and hopefully getting 1 pair out of them. 2 pairs would be better, then I'd give Leslie a set.

It is an average 29 (30 x 18 x 12). I have kept angels before, but it has been quite some time...I know that they need a tall aquarium, and am thinking 18" should be tall enough. Once I have a pair (or two) I will sell the others back to the lfs (and if 2 pairs the second set will go to Leslie in June).

So here is the question I guess, what do I need to know to set up this tank? I know I need like a slab of slate, and plants...what else should I look for incase I see it before I begin? Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments on my lack of sanity? Go for it...Thanks, Heidi

Heck forgot I had this...

For anyone interested this is the type of Angels I would be interested in. The little LFS in baytown seems to keep them in stock, whether it is a local breeder or what I don't know, but can find out if need be.--Heidi
