I just moved and now get the joy of setting up my tanks again. However I would like to do larger sized fish. I am looking for recommendations on what I can use. I like the JD's and I also like the firemouth but am afraid of the fish attacking each other.

Thanks.

110g is a good size for 2 larger fish, make sure you have some rock work for the fire mouth to hide behind is it gets a little rough and try to get one that is larger than the jd.

have you ever though about an oscar, i just got one a couple of weeks ago and i love it.

I have thought about going with an oscar, but I like the coloration of the JD and firemouth more. In a 110, am I looking at just a pair of JD's or pair of firemouth or one of each together?

thanks,
aaron

Check out some pictures of GT's. They are pretty sweet!

The only problem with pairs would be if they breed, which can lead to some big agression problems.

That's a good sized tank and neither are too large. You could probably add something else and/or some dither fish as well.
