	Severum with discus?

I have 2 young green severums that have gotten pretty big, 6"+, and still growing, and they beat the snot out of my pair of gold marble angels. They seemed to go after the male angel in particular. Territorial dispute is how I interpreted it. Since I've removed the angels, the severums are harrassing each other. They definately want their own space. I've never had discus before but I'm sure they would be pretty stressed by the severum once it gets big enough, they can get to be 10"!

You might want to consider Mesonauta Festivus (Flag cichlid). Although they don't come in gold, I've kept them with angels without problems. They are very passive and might work well with discus'.

Discus like to eat their food from the bottom of the tank by the "puffing" method where as Severums are more aggressive top water "attackers". Size relationship should also me considered. Maybe a Uaru would be better because both like the higher temperatures (mid 80's) where as Severums, Festivums and Angels like the higher (70's). Dwarf Rams or Bolivian Rams may also work with the Discus.
