Most likely. Severums aren't that aggressive only when breeding they can be a bit rough. So you should have no problems with the cories and the severums. What size is your tank? That might have some weigh on the decsion i guess.

They should be best kind in with each other. Maybe 2-3 Serverums and 10-12 cories.

I would not put more than one severum in your tank, unless your plans are to breed, as they can tend to be a bit hars towards eachother, especially if you end up with 2 males. I had one in a 55 and he did just fine, they dont need another companion to go on!! They will leave your corys alone. I had mine with blue acaras, tetras that have the black tetra body shape, do not put them with the neon tetra body shape.....LUNCH!!!!! Did you have any other fish in mind? As far as corys, I would go with 6...its a good sized school for that size tank.

72 gallon bowfront:Tanganyikan Lake set up
75 gallon: A. Baenschi trio,Cyanotilapia Afra Cobwe(4), copadichromis trewavase, protomelas sp. tangerine tiger(breeding pair)

I had thought about a convict(female), a chinese algea eater, maybe a parrot cichlid, and some dither fish of some sort. Thanks for the help.Oh, I have moved upto a 75 gallon or larger now

Well with a 75 gallon I would go with:
2-3 Severums
1 Convict
8-10 Cories
1 BN
8-10 Gaint Danios or Tiger Barbs
