A lfs close to where I live is closing soon & they're selling all their fish at 50% off. They have several beautiful Gold Severums in varying sizes. I have a tall 110g tank with a variety of Gouramies. Would it be OK to put about two Gold Severums in this tank? The tank is currently understocked.

In my 215g tank, I have 4 Balas (4"-9" along with a dozen Clown Loaches (3"-7". Would the Gold Severums be OK in there? I hear that Severums are supposed to be relatively peaceful for Cichlids, but do Severums bully other fish when they become comfortable in a new environment? Do they fin nip?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

i have a gold and a green together and they mostly nip at each other more than anything. occasionally i see the green go after the tetras, but for the most part he just likes to chase the gold one around

I had one that was pretty cranky but the three I have now get along with everyone. Everyone being; Angels, Firemouths, Clown and Khuli Loaches, Kribs and an Oscar. BTW these are two different tanks.

Thanks for the input. I'm still wondering if I should put Severums in my Gourami tank. Right now I'm leaning to put the Severums in my larger tank.
