But first I need to know if it a girl or guy. Here is a picture: ![]() My pictures are very blurry. I hope you can tell by this one. Its fins are a little ripped, I didn't notice this when I picked it out. Sorry for the bad picture quality. I took it very fast and couldn't get a good, clear shot.[/font] |

Good luck with her ! Regards, DaFish The Amazon Nut... |

I look to the area between the anal fin and the tail on the body. The female has a straightish line there, the male more curved. The Amazon Nut... |

I didn't notice those until I got it home. I just dosed melafix in my tank before I got the angel. I have carbon in my filter to get the remaining meds out. I hate using the stuff because you can only use it for 3 days and then you have to change the water and add the carbon. It also makes the water smell very strongly. Do you think I could remove the carbon, add melafix for a few days, and then add the same carbon back in the filter? I don't have time to go back to the LFS to get more carbon and I just got the one I have in there now a week ago. |

Melafix treatment is 7 days, and can be repeated if necessary. Remove the carbon, do a 25% water change then start the treatment. After 7 days, do another 25% water change. Then either re-add your carbon, or replace with fresh. How long was the old carbon in the tank ? High protein foods will also help her heal faster ![]() The Amazon Nut... |

Treat the Angel with Melafix for a few days & hopefully the fins will be much better soon. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
