![]() | Sexing Brichardi |
Mike R![]() Fish Addict Posts: 593 Kudos: 830 Votes: 322 Registered: 27-Jul-2004 ![]() ![]() | Hi Everyone, I was gived 2 adult Brichardi today. Any way to sex these critters? They didn't spawn that they know of but they were in a tank with no caves or rockwork. As soon as they are out of quaranteen I will be setting up a suitable home for them. When Brichardi spawn do they get cranky or can other fish be in the tank? Thanks, Mike |

They ideally need to be in their own 25/30g tank, or in a community tank big enough to allow them their own territory (and allow other fish room to swim). 100g should do it! The best way to sex them is to see if they spawn or not.. x P.s Their spawning behaviour has coined the phrase 'Brichardi Death Squad'.. 'nuff said Last edited by Malaikah at 07-Oct-2004 17:50 |

If not I guess I'll find out when and if they breed, or not. I had them quaranteened in a 20 high with a small pair of Gold Severums from the same LFS. The LFS gave me the Brichardis because she had them for over a year and wanted them gone. Well the Brichardi had those Severums stuck up in the corner so I put a bunch of rocks in a 20 long and moved them in. Thanks again, Mike |
