I want to purchase some Multis for my eclipse 12 but I'm confused by the term L1 and L2. My LFS has both but when I asked the guy there what it meant he didn't know. My guess is that L1 is wild caught and L2 is domestic? I'm probably wrong so can someone fill me in?

I'm not sure what L1, L2, means, but F0 means wild caught, F1 means that previous generation's (F0) offspring, then F2 is the F1's generation's offspring so on and so forth.

So say you get a male and female wild caught guppy, these are your F0s, their fry will be F1s, etc.

Oh ok, so basically those numbers are just the generations. Seems easy enough. Thanks a lot!

ive seen the L# pattern used to describe lot numbers the F# is most common used for the offspring as mentioned but a lot nmumber is kind of like best quality n 2nd grade quality usually theres no apperent difference but 2nds r usually cheaper maybe not the best strain but still healthly fish
