BNs are very cool and do a great job with algae. If you want something a bit smaller get a rubbernose...one thing I've found with them is they tend to be a bit more shy/nocturnal than BNs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

Some people like a spotless tank, will clean & scrub as often as possible to get that; others want a more natural look. Don't get an algae eater for the sake of getting one, make sure it's something you want. I started with otos because to be honest, I thought plecs where kind of creepy looking ![]() ![]() And don't forget they're poop machines ![]() [span class="edited"][Edited by Theresa_M 2004-07-04 13:54][/span] ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

Moorii, electric blues and peacocks all get BIG (around 8" or so for the moorii and blues, 6" for the peacock). These fish do best in tanks of at least 75 gallons. They require a lot more swimming room than mbuna, more open spaces and the overcrowding does not really work for them. All of which are reasons why they are best kept separate from mbuna!
