I have 3 angels in my 55 gallon, they are small right now, about 2", I read on the profile that they only get to 3". Im confused because ive heard people speak of 8" angels. Is this a different species or variation? just curious.

I agree with boil, common angelfish usually stay around five inches. Their height can get to six or seven inches, though!

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

Usually you measure Angels by just their body without fins.
Are yours 2" with the fins, If so they'll grow alot yet. My biggest Angel is about 3.5", Just the body but with fins he is 8" tall.

Their body ought to be 2" in 6 months, maybe less.

They might start pairing and breeding shortly after that.

Have fun, Mike

Aquarium raised angels oftem grow at different rates. I wouldn't be surprised if one of your little guys suddenly had a growth spurt and ended up nearly twice the size of the other.
