Don't know much, but i am pretty sure that they dwell in the lower portion of the tank, and they tend to be quite aggressive.

I'd imagine they require about the same care as Steatocrannus casuarius. Just research S. casuarius and that should provide you with enough relevant info.

I purchased a few from aquabid way back...they became a bit too rowdy for me...more so than the run of the mill blockheads, at the very least.

well, I've heard varying info on the common blockhead cichlids. I've heard they are rather peaceful and I've also heard they can be quite aggressive so judging from that I'd say it's quite possible that their temperament can very a lot. this will also depend on tank size, tankmates, at what age/size they were introduced together and/or with other fish, etc.

In my experience with various batches, I've come to the conclusion that they are, as with many bottom bwelling riverines, semi aggressive, with some exceptions, but I would maintain that the tinatis were always a good deal more chasey than any blockhead I've had the opportunity to raise.
