Yes the would but i wouldn't do it. First angels will pair off and beat the crap out of any other angels (and maybe discus) and discus need friends. And discus are much, much harder to care for. And they are more timid. So it Could work but i wouldn't try it.

Thanks! I wouldent want to spend $100 on a discus just to get it beat the crap outof. Would a pair of diomond gouramis be good?

Just go for a pair of dwarfs, or pearls. I can't find a diomond gourami, but ow well. Good luck.
