I am looking at stocking my New 120 Gallon Tank, i was planning on going with:

2x Oscars
2x Convict Cichlids
3x Clown Loaches
2x Some Medium Sized Pleco

What Else would make good tank mates with the Oscars, what other type of Cichlids will get along, and is my choice in bottom feeder ok? What suggestions does everyone have for my new tank.

Any Comments will be Apreciated

Thanks
Jake

For the pleco, I'd get something large and tough such as a common. Medium sized plecos don't work too well with breeding convicts---my pair killed off a fairly large (and very expensive) galaxia pleco. ]

Clown loaches do better in larger groups. A minimum of 4 to 6 depending on the reference source. They are also very slow growers, oscars grow very fast. I think an oscar would quickly outgrow then eat a group of clowns.
My common pleco and clowns get along well. If they are big enough they should be OK with oscars. Don't know about the convicts. I get the impression that they are pretty nasty.

I am purchusing small oscars and Large loaches so the size diff shouln;t be a problem, as for the convicts i will just need to watch them closly. But i am looking for suggestions on other fish to add...

Thanks Jake

clown loaches do need to be in a larger group
and frankly i think you 120G with 2 oscars and all those other fish are pretty packed
oscars get really really big and messy

I don't think I'd add any other fish to that tank. The bioload of the oscars and plecos will be heavy as it is, and all of the fish you are planning on stocking grow quite large. The tank might look a little empty at first, but as the fish mature it will fill right up.

EDIT: Welcome to FP
