I was thinking towards the larger, more aggressive, "wet pet" thing

then I'd go for a midas or red devil and keep it alone.

I was thinking towards the larger, more aggressive, "wet pet" thing. No catfish either, they just increase the need for mechanical.

Ooh, ooh, ooh - do Eartheaters, definitely. SOOO cool, and relatively peaceful. Plus a JD, perhaps?

Pair of Severums, pair of Festivums, large school of Corys, pair of Bristlenoses and a Blue Acara.

I was thinking maybe a JD and a Oscar and then a Plec. Would that work?

I think that four green severums, a pair of redhump eartheaters, and a large shoal of cories would be really cool. I haven't actually kept the eartheaters, so I don't know whether they're peaceful or not, but I like the looks of them.

My favorite larger cichlids are JDs, salvini, green terrors, and severums. I also like firemouths and oscars.

Cichlid-forum has cookie-cutters for various sized tanks. The largest are for 75g tanks and can be seen [link=here]http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/cookie_cutter_75g.php" style="COLOR: #FFFFC0[/link].
