Yes, its true, my java fern and bacopa live off a diet of raw krib . Seriously though, I've got a krib that's been nibbling at my plants. It's not so much that she's doing it, I don't mind a bit here and there; it's the sheer ammount that concerns me. So far she has taken a good inch off of my bacopa monnieri ]:|. Any idea how i can keep the plant AND krib alive? I know this is sort of a question for the plant forum, but I thought I'de try in here because its the fish that seems to be the problem.

When you catch her doing it say, "BAD, BAD KRIBENSIS!" in a loud stern voice.:88)

Hmmms..my Kribs grab at algae off of plants..or something..but so far haven't hurt the actual plants that I can ever tell. I don't have Bacopa, but I have some really fine leaved plants..
Might try giving them some good Hikari Algae wafer (just part of one to see if they'd eat it) or some omnivore frozen stuff with algae/spirulina in it.. that's the only idea I have. See if you can get them some vegetable matter in other forms and maybe they'd leave it alone?

With a fast growing plant often it won't make much difference, but Bacopa is a very slow grower. My platy went nuts on one.. No more Bacopa.

Maybe there's not enough veggie matter in it's diet.. If you increase that it might leave the plant alone or reduce it's nibbling. Also bacopas lower leaves get weakened by lack of light and those ones are softer to eat, is it those ?

The "bad bad kribensis ! " defense might work
Good luck !
