The 20g is empty but will have Eco-Complete cichlid sand, and whatever else is necessary. So with these 2 tanks, the fish I currently have, and those I'm interested in-and I realize I can't have all of them-what would be the best way to set up and stock? Fish from the 29g can be moved if necessary. Thanks, I very much appreciate the help ![]() ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

I do know that punks don't wake up fast in the morning and neeed an outside light for quite a while before the tank lite is turned on. Good luck ![]() -NewBreeder16 ![]() _______________________________________________ You can call me Newb too, since I'm not nere new any more. |

They're worth to get since you can sell off the fry. Regani would breed easier than calvus, unless you get mature breeding sized specimens of both. Comparibly, the calvus would grow slower and breed at a larger size than the regani. Depending where you are, the market is usually for calvus fry. I would either do: 20 Gallon stappersi with breeding pair of regani 29 Gallon with the calvus, gracilis, heliathus, leleupi. Its hard to breed calvus with other fish since their fry would either be eaten if you dont take them out, or they'll be over aggressive. or 20 Gallon with trio/pair of calvus with stappersi 29 gallon with gracilis, helianthus, leleupi, and a pair of regani. Are you referring to multipunctatus? They're a bit challenging to breed in a small tank, especially if you dont have have mouthbrooders to use as hosts. You might want to try dwarf petricolas, since theres a way to rig up caves for them to breed in. |
