I have a 55 gallon African cichild tank its stocked with 2 Brichardis,1 Brevis,1 Duboisi,1 Peacock,1 Venustus,1 Ob Zebra,1 Red Empress,1 Brichardi Synodontus. So to say the least there is a lot of variety.
. Here lately Ive noticed the brevis and the ob zebra fighting allot and they are the same size maybe 2 inches. When they fight i notice that the Venustus and the Duboisi and sometimes the Peacock will help the Brevis.I have kept Cichlids for a few years now, many different kinds and I have seen this behavior before but it wasn't constant like it is now.Every time I see them fighting they always seem to be there to help him.If anyone has any literature or info on this subject I would be most interested.

I would recomend adding more hiding places. And if you have a way to make the aquascape higher into the tank to block the veiw it would help.

chekboy2, how is the setup of your tank?. Do you have alot of rocks & hiding places?.

Personally, i would keep Cichlids from different Lakes in different tanks.
