Unidentified Central/South American Cichlid. | |
mcdisgrace Small Fry Posts: 8 Kudos: 9 Votes: 0 Registered: 18-Feb-2009 | I just got this cichlid today as they previous person cared for rather poorly. I hae since moved this fish to a much better tank now. Approx 6 and is supposedly a Texas Cichlid however does not resemble the images I have seen of them. Part of me thinks Convict Cichlid however just as much of me says no. If anyone has any ideas it would be great help. http://jokersent.fateback.com/fish.html |

Barred midas can get a pinkish/red coloration to them depending on the breed and look very similar to a mayan. My advice: give it a month or 2 of TLC and then take some new pics and we'll take another look |
