I finally got a beautiful pair of Marble angels to breed. The first few times they laid eggs on the side of the powerhead and then progressively ate them ove rthe next fews days. I have moved them into a 2'x2' tank on their own and now that they have settled, they are at it again. This time though, I might have got lucky. after a few days all the eggs were gone from the powerhead again, but there seems to be little "sacs" attached to several of the sides of the glass spread all over the tank. The Angels are not Tending them or eating them at this stage. I have turned the powewrhead off and put a sponge over the intake to the HOB filter that is working. Am I doing the right thing? What happens next? Should I remove the parents? Any advice greatfully accepted Thanks. |

Make sure there is a slight water or air flow near the eggs, less than a powerhead would produce, more like an airstone or a sponge filter which is what I use. I also use methelyne blue at 2 drops per gallon 1 time only. Good luck! I also have a pair of marbles that spawned last week. |
