bolivians are a bit harder then blues to sex. ignore the front rays they arnt gona help ya. look at the dorsal, tail and the bottom fin. the dorsal will be rounded, the tail wotn have any points, and the bottom fin will be rounded if its a female. also females are smaller. and i know this soudns weird but i thinkt he female rams look female in the face. they have a more rounded look to the eyes and over all face i dont know.

anyway the biggest tell is the tail and dorsal. these 2 will have points and extentions if its a male.

i got a male and female im so happy because im not going back up there for a month but im so happy and, i just released them, will they bond? they are in a 29 gallon, oh, i hope they will i am in the middle of planting it, and finding my final stockingin there i have guppies, bettas, ottos, corys, zebra danios, and a minnow, i want to return, some guppy fry, the danios, and i want to move the female bettas up into 10 gallon, and maybe even all the guppies, so the tank would be the ottos, corys, rams, and the minnow, thats for now though

Congratulations on your new fish. Only time will tell if they'll bond or not. Enjoy.
