[font color="#000080"]I've kept kribs before, like about a year ago. It didn't last for good, the male was beating the misery out of the female. The main problem was there isn't enough hiding places and nitrate was bit high at god knows how high. Now i have some plants (1/3 of the tank covered) and some caves in my 15G, so i was thinking about getting another pair.

Current residents in my 15G are:
5x Guppies
2x Phantom Tetras

1/3 of the tank is planted with wisteria, ambulia, java fern, java moss, amazon sword, anubias nana. Click on the www to see another update of my tank (with the amazon sword and 60w light).

Do you guys think it's going to be alright for me to get those kribs? What other things do i need to take into account? Are they sensitive to chemicals in the water (such as NO3 etc)?

I don't know, a 15g with your other fish might be too small for a pair of kribs.

Your tetras really should be in a larger school and that would probably fill out your tank.

[font color="#000080"]forgot to mention, the tetras will go when i get those kribs, my friend wants them (but he's paying for 1 krib)
so that leaves me with 5 guppies in a 15G.

Hmmmm, I don't know...I'd still be concerned about the kribs getting territorial when breeding.

Ya if those kribs bred, those guppies would cease to have tails. You could fit them in there fine, but the aggressiveness is a problem.

I 15 gal would be considered a temporary breeding tank for Kribs (same with Angels).. A pair's main home should be at least a 29 gal.

The Amazon Nut...
