I picked up 4 Labs yesterday, and got some Hikari Cichlid Staple, but they do not seem impressed by it, they do grab and move the Yeardly algae wafers I put out for the Common Pl*CO.
what Pellet food/ flake food do they like for a primary food source?

Hey
They will eat wafers and vegie's just anything that you put in the tank mine prefere to eat cooked spinich dont know why but they do.

I also feed mine Hikari Cichlid Staple & they also eat Flakes & vegetable based sinking pellets.

mine will eat floating pellets, sinking pellets, brine shrimp, flake food, and bloodworms.

they will do good on any cichlid flakes, tetra min, new life spectrum, ocean nutrition flakes/pellets. my fish didnt like hikari food either for some reason. i would feed them pretty much anything except the bloodworms. i just dont hear any good things about those.

I've been feeding mine HBH Veggie Flakes, HBH African Cichlid Attack pellets, and occassionally some Hikari Cichlid staple pellets, all of which they relish.
