In your opinion and experience what brand, model, intensity, wattage, number of, and what ever else you use for lighting to make the color of your cichlids and fish more intense. I use a single 48 on my tank and I currently switched to zoo med (brand), ocean sun (model)10000k and 38w from using power-glo and others. They were on sale and thought I try them. Looking to upgrade to two bulbs. Last edited by openwater at 21-Nov-2004 23:03 |

I tend to go with "daylight" bulbs that I find and my local hardware store. They keep my plants alive (40 watts total on a 29 gallon tank), aren't so bright the tank is algaeland, and show off the fish colors much better than the single bulb light fixture that came with my tank. I got mine from big als. Eric |
