What would you do with 180g of space??? | |

I would research which colorful cichlids go well together, and build my tank around a couple of showpiece fish. Personally, the Bolivian Rams are my favorite Cichlids right now. There's just somuch you can do with that sort of space... I would have a tough time filling it as well. |

cichlid crazy Hobbyist Posts: 58 Kudos: 37 Registered: 01-Feb-2006 | 6x2x2 is a good sized tank for a Malawi set up (I have 1), you could have some nice sized fish in there like Fossochromis Rostratus, Nimbochromis Venustus, Protomelas of any of the types, Aulonocaras etc etc Very colourful and great fun to watch |

Hoplarchus psittacus, the REAL "Parrot Cichlid" from South America (and NOT a hybrid)? Take a peek here and see what you think. A bright green Cichlid that isn't a Dempsey, is much less aggressive (though still pretty feisty if it needs to be to look after itself) and a decent size too (35 cm as adults). A breeding pair of these would set you apart from the run of the mill big Cichlid keeper! |
