I want to know what a Typical set up for Angels in the wild would be. What other fish would you see swimming around with them? We just set up a tank with 5 angels in it.. (55 gal) I know not much more can go in there...these angels are are "adult Juviniles" so fairly sizeable. But My QUESTION is what would you see swimming around with them in the wild??

72 gallon bowfront:Tanganyikan Lake set up
75 gallon: A. Baenschi trio,Cyanotilapia Afra Cobwe(4), copadichromis trewavase, protomelas sp. tangerine tiger(breeding pair)

I believe angels are often found with festivums.

I often use [link=Mongabay]http://fish.mongabay.com/fish.htm" style="COLOR: #FFFFC0[/link] for research on countries of origin, biotopes, etc.

So for angels they list South America; Amazon, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil. [link=Here]http://www.mongabay.com/fish/biotope_countries.htm" style="COLOR: #FFFFC0[/link] are links to lists of freshwater fish from various countries.

Another trick could be to look for accounts of people who have gone and collected Angels in the wild...
