Don't want anyone to get hurt..and not sure if an angel or two would end up harming any of my other fish. If they would, no angels. I'm going to do about 8 Pearl Gouramies..maybe 20 Cories..perhaps a Zebra and or Clown Pleco..and a few female Betta splendens. If it is ok for 2 angels, I do not want a male/female pair as I don't want them getting aggressive due to breeding..so If they end up being a pair..one will go back to LFS until I get two of the same sex. Would also like to get a school of ottos or another good algae eater that's safe with plants.

That's alot of fish. How big is your tank? Angels get pretty big and like other cichlids have different personalities. I have one big gold marble that wants to take me on if I get too close to the tank. And I have a huge silver that I've tried to get to pair up but smaller fish seem to scare him. He lives with my Oscar now and loves it.
In any case they probably won't bother the cories because they stay near the bottom. But if your tank is too small and the gouramies and betas might pushed into a corner by the angels. Just depends on the fish. I'd give it a try and if it doesn't work take the angels back.

Good luck, Mike

You need to post your tank size and water capacity before anyone can provide accurate feedback.

Searched around...she has a 6ft 125g tank.
Plenty big enough I think. I have a large angel with 2 pearls, 3 dwarf gourami, cories and tetras, rainbowfish etc, and the angel is fine with them. I am going to be adding 1 more angel to hopefully get a pair.
I have a 90g. I think you could even succesfully do 3 angels if you didnt get a pair.
Just dont add any neons. I just did that and now am 4 less thanks to my angelfish "Sneaky Pete".

Neons are the prey of angels in the wild - that'll be why you've lost them.
