I was pretty set on getting a dwarf gourami to "complete" my planted 29g, but I was reading some articles on a cichlid site and one recommended setup for a 29g involved a pair of angels, 8 harlequin rasboras, and 5 corydoras, which seemed somewhat similar to what I have.

I have 8 pristella tetras and 6 peppered corys. I know peppered corys are on the large side for corys and I have 6 rather than 5, but what if I only added one angel? I'd thought that it would be on the overstocked side, but now I'm not sure.

I know angels tend to eat neons and cardinals, but would one bother the pristellas? The pristellas are fully grown.

I'm definitely not set on getting an angel, but I just want to check out all the possibilities...

I have had angels and pristellas but never really put the 2 in the same tank . But i would think the angel even only having one would kill tetras. but try it out introduce one into the tank and see how it does give it about 2 days and if its not being aggressive towards ur tetras leave it in there.

when the angel gets large it will eat what it can fit in its mouth, but they do take some time to get really big.

An Angel would be just fine. Pristellas grow too
large for even an adult angel to eat.
