sirbooks,
Can any regular digital camera take pictures like that?

Any camera of reasonable quality will take photos like this.

Well its name is a story. I got a Gold Gourami and I named her Goldie. (Gold for her colour, and also after my hubbys favourite actress Goldie Hawn)
Well I then got the GCAE. My hubby named it H.O.R.N.Y. (Hawnie) again after his favourite actress. Over here in Oz this world means, nice, beautiful etc. But this forum won't let us use the right spelling. So now we are calling it Hawnie.

Nice photos! I guess your fish aren't very camera shy. Can any regular digital camera take pictures like that?

The zebra pleco looks very nice with all of its stripes, and only grows two and a half inches. However, it will not do well at all in a tank with aggressive fish. I would leave it out.

I think a bulldog pleco would be good if you have a sand or fine gravel substrate, and they don't even eat plants!

I want one firemouth one jack dempsy ( blue preferably ), One or two convicts and a red tailed black shark. for the clean up crew i will have a electric blue craw. If i can add more then tell me what i should add. ANd i do know the rtbs is a cyprind but i have seen this done so he should be ok. OH and this is a 55.
And would a tank with two of each fm and jd be ok. With the craw. Because that is what i really want.

Maybe a pleco. They would be able to take any poundings from the cichlids. Just make sure you don't get one that would outgrow the tank.

What size do you think i should start out with for these fish? ON a side note i am so excited.

That tank setup should work. What size jd would you start out with, though? If it is big enough, it might pick on a smaller blue acara.

That is really really really overstocked.
one firemouth one jack dempsy ( blue preferably ), One or two convicts and a red tailed black shark. ... a eletric blue craw

If you got the Crayfish, I wouldn't risk anything else in that tank, Craws will try and grab anyfish that swim by it, and sleeping fish are an easy target for them...
you could fit:
two Convicts and one Firemouth/RTBS
OR
one Convict and one Jack Dempsey
OR
one Firemouth and one Jack Dempsey/RTBS.
OR
one JD and one RTBS

It might work if you leave out the convicts. No breeding pairs means less fighting in the tank, too.
