littlemousling      Conchiform Posts: 5230 Registered: 23-Aug-2003 | It's a Tanganyikan sand sifter, a maternal mouthbrooder, unlike a few of the other Xenotilapia which are biparental mouthbrooders. They need a four foot or larger tank with a sand substrate and a group of their own kind; eight or more is best. Like all Tangs they need hard, alkaline, stable water. The Utinta's just a location - you'd find more info on the species, leaving that off. -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |
