	Yellow Texas Cichlid?
idmonte2001 Fingerling Posts: 41 Kudos: 8 Votes: 0 Registered: 10-Apr-2002	I just got a texas cichlid about 2-3 inches long and its Yellow! I had to have it, never seen one like it. Just wondering if anyone has ever seen a yellow one. I know its a texas and it does have a little tiny tint of blue on it but its body looks a little longer than most texas cichlids (like a jack) but everything else is 100% texas. Do you think it could be a cross breed?

I've seen many an lfs confuse the 2 especially at small sizes. The reason I ask is that I've seen many small dempseys display a yellowish coloration but never a texas. Is there any way you can get a picture of the fish?

idmonte2001 Fingerling Posts: 41 Kudos: 8 Votes: 0 Registered: 10-Apr-2002	Sorry no scanner, but i am 100% sure it is not a Dempsey, I have had a full grown jack and texas for about 3 years now and I am sure it is a texas. (at least mostly a texas) The fish looks great though and pretty agressive, like most texas cichlids.
