Got home from shopping with my wife(always fun) this evening and as I was feeding my cichlids a noticed 2 fry in the corner. I got them out and we began to look for others. In all we found 16 fry and now have them in an extra 10 gallon tank we had.

Very nice! What kind of fish are the fry, and are you planning to raise them to maturity? If so, what are your eventual plans for them?

Thanks. Their lemon yellows and unfortunatly I really don't have the room for them once they've matured in the tank they were in. So when they get a little bigger I'll probably carry them to the LFS and do some trading.Somehow he usally doesn't mind trading 16 fish for 2 or 3.

if you want them to grow fast and healthy, feed them twice a day, and keep temp at 82 degrees. As for health, if you have a milk gallon carton laying around, get 2 of those or one would be fine. Every day or every other day, just cut a little of plastic off top of carton, one gallon water change, it will help ensure their survival and growth. As they are more e to good water parimeters.
