Yes and no ... it could go bad. P. acei gets you a similar color (a great contrast to the yellow labs) with a more definitively compatible aggression level. And they're becoming so common that Petco regularly carries them.

As Little Mousling said...
It may go bad, with Yellow's and Socolofi. Being as Socolofi are the more aggressive, the may very well dominate the yellow's.
Getting more double the yellows as you get Socolofi will help give each fish a better chance

I think mr. cichlid means get X many scolofi and double that number for the yellows. Say get 2 scolofi and 4 yellows. or i could be way wrong.

That could prolly work. Try what Mr Cichlid said and do 2 to 1. 6 EL's and 3 Socolofi as an example. But they are pretty aggresive compared to EL's. Maybe stick with 1M Soco and 2M EL's and fill out with Females. My 1st Soco I thought was a male due to the aggresiveness, until I seen her "holding". But that was a long time ago and I wasn't to great at cichlids. Good luck.
