i have read somewhere that you can have convicts and acaras in the same tank is this true???????

Sure it just depends on the size of the tank.

Most things are possible. Though convicts are described as a highly aggressive fish, with enough space it'll work. Two pairs will probably be alot of trouble in a small tank. I'd reccomened a 55 gallon...with a pair of either. If two pairs breed in a tank so small, you'd get alot of aggression.

What type of acara are you going for? blue?
