What is the best food for peacocks ect. I have a hap ahli that has horrible colour almost black.

OSI spirulina would have to be my guess! keep them on a low protein diet to avoid bloat.

other colour enhancing flakes r on the market as well

Well being as peacocks, etc. are Carnivores.

You have a Hap. Ahli which is actually not a Peacock but a Haplochromine.
Which is also a Carnivore.

So you'll need lots of HIGH PROTIEN foods,
Frozen brine shrimp, and African cichlids pellet, Flakes, Feeder Guppies....Live foods are always good
Increase your water changes, when live foods are frequent.

Maybe his color is off due to other things....
What is he with?
How big is he?
Is it 100% a he?

But Regardless of those questions, he is a CARNIVORE.
So go HIGH PROTIEN.
