Sorry if I offended you at all. I wasn't trying to, I literally just meant that you have a fine setup for African cichlids and the only thing you had left to get were compatible fish. Sorry again, I really wasn't even attempting at humor with it...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

My tip is to check out the LFS' and see what they have that you like. Most of the Africans you will see at the LFS are compatible with each other, depending how aggressive you want your tank. Species like Auratus can be much more aggressive than species like Yellow Labs, so it's all in how you want your tank.

Then, figure out how big the kindds you like can get. The "Normal" rule to stocking is one inch of fish per gallon, however that can vary with cichlids. I had 3 in my 30g with a Syno catfish and they were quite peaceful (of course it was understocked). The more you have, the more aggressive they will be towards each other (especially dinner time).

You can even check out the species profiles here and think of what you want in the tank... then let us know! If you're not sure if it will work, there are lots of experienced people here that will help (plus we love to see what other people are stocking!!)

I think iltat was just trying to tell you that you've already got enough equipment to set up your cichlid tank.. There's no need to get upset about his attempt at humor..

I've moved your thread here to Cichlid Central so that you can get more specific advice from cichlid keepers.. If you're needing help with stock selection or other specifics, they'll be the best people to help you..

Good Luck with your setup..
