my pair 2" convicts just lay some eggs, about 90 of them. They hatch in about 4 days. The parents took care of them real well until the next day they began to gobble their fry up like popcorn! The ate a total of 89 fry, I manage to save just one (nemo anyone?)amazingly he hid under the flower pot. I put him in a jar right now, hes about 5 days old.About to achieve lift off

But does anyone knows why? I feed my convict really well, Brine shrimp and blood worm, they haven't touch the cheap flakes for a while.

could it be that they're young parents and have not learned not to eat their fry yet?

is there any other fish in the tank

The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an bacon and egg breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'."

next time leave the light on for the first couple of weeks or a night light for them I had the same problem before with convicts as well as angels and jagaurs they seem to spook even though they are the only fish in the tank
