well, through replys on the general freshwater forums, I think i have come up with a set up for my 29 gallon tall, assuming that the angel isnt too agressive.

how would a angel do when kept with 7 corys,1south american bumblebee catfish(he is nocturnal,so even though he prowls the whole tank the angel shouldnt pay him too much attention),a bristlenose pleco i am raising for a friend till it reaches full size, and i was thinking a male female duo of dwarf gouramis of some sort.

would the angel be too agressive towards the gouramis or the corys? the pleco is 3" now and can hold her own, and is highly aggresive, the bumblebee cat will hide, the only thing i am concerned with is teritory space, enviroment, and that it wont pick apart the poor corys like my school of 8 barbs is right now, and i suppose it not beating up the gouramis would be nice too.

i dont have the measurements for my tank, here is a pic of the tank as it is currently set up.

I think that an Angel would do fine with the Corydoras & the BN, but i don't know anything about Bumblebee's.

I also think that the Angel would be fine with Dwarf Gourami's, as you have alot of hiding places with those long plants.

well, i have done some research, the general concensus was that while it would do ok in that set up, due to the lack of swimming room and territory in my tank, the gouramis and the angel would most likely get into fights of one sort or another.

so, no angel this time i guess, but someday when i have my own house and can fit something larger than 29 gallons, i will have angelfish, they are quite beautifull and seem entertaining as well.

i spose i will be getting a couple cherry barbs and a M&F pair of thick lipped gouramis to go with the corys and bumblecat.

p.s. the bumblecat is a predator by nature, but is peaceful to anything larger than 1"...any fry or eggs towards the middle or bottom of the tank become fishsticks or caviar, lol. if the barbs pick on him he runs away, he is non agressive towards the corys, he just bickers with them over food the same way they do with eachother, heck he thinks he is a cory, he schools with them and they sleep in his cave next to him at night.

I would go with an Angel & not Gourami's. I prefer Angels & SA fish.

Thanks for the Bumblecat info.
