My 75g was originally stocked with giant danios, a blue acara, GT, sev, snakeskin gourami, and a Cuban. Everything was fine except when the GT & acara spawned

I took the GT back to the lfs, rearranged the tank and now the Cuban has decided she's in charge. The problem is she's taking out her agression on the sev, who is larger than she is but very mellow.

The sev has been living/hiding in a corner behind some swords, only coming out to eat Even then I have to be careful and feed the others first, then drop some food at his end of the tank.

The Cuban did some damage to the sev's fins and I finally had enough this morning and netted the sev to my 29g. I know it's not ideal but it's the only tank I could put him in and at least he's with peaceful tankmates and even eating.

I'd say the sev is ~4.5" long...is the 29g an ok home for him until I figure out what to do? Right now the only other solution would be taking back the Cuban who I do like other than this recent behavior, and she happens to be the spouse's favorite fish

Thanks

IMO he can live in there for a long time there is plenty of swimming room for a 4.5 inch fish

The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an bacon and egg breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'."

I don't see any problems for the Severum in a 29 gal. tank. He'll be fine.

agreed...severums don't grow particularly quickly so it should be just fine in a 29 for some time. The first midas I had was about 8" and living for a couple months in a 29.

Thanks...I did move him and while he first went directly into the corner it didn't take him long to come out and start exploring. His colors are much better and he ate well last night, that was nice to see.
