So I've been bouncing back and forth about getting angelfish for along time now. I had heard that they are normally fine as long as they are the last fish added to the tank. Is this true first off? And secondly, what if in the future some of my shorter lived fish die and I want to replace them with something new, are the angelfish going to allow this or are they going to harass them to death? Sorry if I'm being overcautious, I just really don't want any of my fish to get hurt, and I really like how angels look.
TIA
Jen

Angels typically only get cranky when they are breeding.

There are always exceptions but the only time I've ever had an Angel injure or kill another fish was when they had just spawned. As long as you don't end up with a breeding pair you shouldn't have to worry.

They will eat smaller fish so neons probably are not a good idea. Ditto young fish about that size.

Have fun, Mike

Angels are peacful fish that only are aggressive when breeding. They will be fine. What fish are in the tanks?

I say go for it, I think angels are very cool, they are so neat to just stare at, and the way they move is unlike many other fish

Definatly agree with Mike and Angel! Angelfish gets super cranky during breeding. Even with a breeding pair, introducing new fish when they are not spawing is ok. I have a school of danios in my tank, had to remove them after my angel breed, after introducing them back the angels didn't bother them at all. They were just gurading their territory. So go ahead and add fishes

!!I think I just learned somthing new!!

Angels are only aggressive when breeding. You can add some Tetra & Corydoras with them. Just make sure that the Tetra's are big enough.
