29usg, planted with one pair of kribs, is it possible to add and angel or two. i really want and angel but there is something about these kribs that i can't let them go.

so if there is room for an angel or two (can only 1 be added} will the kribs harass it/them. i know angels can hold there own but kribs are nasty little suckers. in fact they are brats. i had one of my yellow labs in qt when i was forced upon a friends bett. i had them both in a bare 29 usg for a few days with no problem but when i planted the the thing and added the kribs (removing the yellow lab) within 15 min. the bettas fins were shreaded. bad kribs. sorry i go on and on, i like to hear myself type.

I would not try the combo. I think the angel would not have enough room to flee when the krib pair spawn, never mind when they start paradeing the fry around the tank.

Kribs are nasty when breeding & in my opinion, it's better to leave them on their own.

ok, so here is the problem. i just planted this 29 and it looks awsome. used a cave like rock in the corner and then poured gravel on it to make it look like very deep, it's about 6 inches off the high and than put a large amozon sword on the top, it just looks great. anyhow, the problem is that i have this very nice looking tank and need something larger to in it as a centerpeice fish. i like my kribs alot but they are not very large fish and have many new hiding places. what could i put in the tank that the kribs might not beat up.

i dont think you could out anything else with them, i would personally have the kribs as a center peice fish and try and build around them.

I tried keeping three platies as dithers in a lightly planted 20 with a pair of kribs. It seemed to work pretty well, as they were ignored most of the time and they provided surface interest plus a nice shot of colour.

After the kribs spawned in one of the flower pots, their threat runs started to look more serious - longer duration and greater speed chase. I decided there was not quite enough escape room for the platies, so pulled them out. I think in a 29 gallon, the combo might work well.

After the first spawn, I left some adolscent kribs in the tank as dithers - seemed to be very effective at diffusing aggression.

I wouldn't bother with angels until you get a bigger tank. With the kribs it would be way to stressful.

I had two kribs, with my angels in a 46gallong and I ended up getting rid of the kribs, because they were harassing the angels and my rams.
