chris1017![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 610 Kudos: 421 Votes: 70 Registered: 09-Sep-2003 ![]() ![]() ![]() | 29usg, planted with one pair of kribs, is it possible to add and angel or two. i really want and angel but there is something about these kribs that i can't let them go. so if there is room for an angel or two (can only 1 be added} will the kribs harass it/them. i know angels can hold there own but kribs are nasty little suckers. in fact they are brats. i had one of my yellow labs in qt when i was forced upon a friends bett. i had them both in a bare 29 usg for a few days with no problem but when i planted the the thing and added the kribs (removing the yellow lab) within 15 min. the bettas fins were shreaded. bad kribs. sorry i go on and on, i like to hear myself type. chris |

chris1017![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 610 Kudos: 421 Votes: 70 Registered: 09-Sep-2003 ![]() ![]() ![]() | ok, so here is the problem. i just planted this 29 and it looks awsome. used a cave like rock in the corner and then poured gravel on it to make it look like very deep, it's about 6 inches off the high and than put a large amozon sword on the top, it just looks great. anyhow, the problem is that i have this very nice looking tank and need something larger to in it as a centerpeice fish. i like my kribs alot but they are not very large fish and have many new hiding places. what could i put in the tank that the kribs might not beat up. chris |

heaven2![]() Mega Fish Posts: 1065 Votes: 0 Registered: 10-Jun-2002 ![]() | I tried keeping three platies as dithers in a lightly planted 20 with a pair of kribs. It seemed to work pretty well, as they were ignored most of the time and they provided surface interest plus a nice shot of colour. After the kribs spawned in one of the flower pots, their threat runs started to look more serious - longer duration and greater speed chase. I decided there was not quite enough escape room for the platies, so pulled them out. I think in a 29 gallon, the combo might work well. After the first spawn, I left some adolscent kribs in the tank as dithers - seemed to be very effective at diffusing aggression. |

With the kribs it would be way to stressful. I had two kribs, with my angels in a 46gallong and I ended up getting rid of the kribs, because they were harassing the angels and my rams. My Scapes |
