i have a pair of bolivian rams, i know they are male and female, and they have been exibiting strange behavior, i have only had them a short while, maybe a week well, it sort of reminds me of 2 guppies, or a little more like a male betta, how they push into each other (kinda wiggly) but then, they will touch eachother with their mouths, but i dont see any nipped gins, or missing scales thankfuly so, what kind of behavor is this?

Sounds like flirting to me

I have a blue acara and green terror pair that have spawned several times. They go through some major lip-locking, shimmying, and a swirling swim thing together, kind of hard to describe. As I write this the acara is moving newly hatched wigglers from her pot to a pit she dug in the gravel

This is common behavior. They will take turns chasing each other. I have 2 German Rams and they do the same. I was hoping they would pair up but instead they chose seperate territories on each end of my 55 gallon. Both of mine are males.

Paired rams (Bolivian or Blue) are like a married couple. They fight, then they make up and they are sweet to each other until next time. It's quite easy to see when they're fighting and when they're flirting, in my opinion. When flirting they will rub their bodies, wiggle in excitement, follow each other and even push each other with their mouths, which they also do when they fight, but in a more aggressive way. In any case, even if they are not a couple and they have a fight, no harm is usually inflicted on any of them and they will soon "mark" their territories. This is also interesting to see because the fish will usually swim up to their mark and stop there, while the other is carefully observing that the line hasn't been crossed. when the line has been crossed there might be a short fight but it won't last for long.

You must love rams.

well, they are never far from eachother if the female moves away from the male when he isnt lookoing, he spins around looking for her then does a mad dash around the tank looking then he will push her a little as to say *dont ever do that again!*
