When I first got my auratus, she was mostly yellow with the black stripe, as is in the picture on this site with the profile. She has recently changed color: to black where the yellow was and a yellow stripe where the black stripe was. Her fins are also yellow now.
What would cause this?
I've been making regular water changes as I have always been, feeding the same amount of flakes every day, etc. I still get the water tested on a regular basis to ensure that everything is ok, and anything I can think of has checked out fine. I have noticed no other changes in her. I'm wondering if this is a natural change.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks.

i think the color change is due to that fact that she is now a he. as they mature, they change color depending on their gender. I believe the males have mostly black bodies, whereas the females stay yellow.

Is it dark blue or black? I have a male auratus about 3 years old and he's dark blue with a purple stripe.
