Hi
I have a ? about blood parrots.I have two blood parrots and one of them is digging a hole in the sand.He is taking mouth full of sand and spitting into a pile.He is making a sand hill and and big hole.lol
Why would he be doing this?????

Possibly a breeding habit. Many cichlids make nests in the gravel. My Severums dig and move gravel to make nests around their favorite breeding rocks.

My bloods do this all the time and while the are doing this they seem vey protective of the hole so be careful.

Its a typical behavior that cichlids have, they like to dig holes and mess with your plants/decoration.
