if i got a blue acara at 4inches could i put him with my oscar... my oscar is 7inches?? in a 75........????

I would go for it, as long as there are a good amount of caves and what not for territories.

I think it could work, but you never know. my oscar is not 7 inches, he is only 4 but when i put a new fish in with him he will beat it up for about 2 days just to let it know who is boss but then will leave it alone once he gained his dominance. so i think it will work but there might be some pushin and sparring in the first couple days. if after a week or two they still fight i suggest returning one.

The blue acara is usually generally considered to be a peaceful cichlid, thou they can become aggressive and territorial during breeding and mostly do quite well with cichlids of their same size(up to 8 inches full grown). I just don't think in general it would be a good idea to put the blue acara in with the oscar considering the potential size of the oscar. Along with the usual temperment of the oscar to that of the blue acara.
